Community involvement keeps me grounded and reminds me that meaningful work often begins with practical acts of service.
U-M Campus Farm
Learning by working together.
At the U-M Campus Farm, I helped plant cucumber and zucchini and harvest garlic. The experience combined teamwork, sustainability, and the satisfaction of contributing to a shared purpose.
Learning and outreach
Supporting community events.
I supported programming at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum and participated in the UMSI Transfer Student Event panel, sharing my experience with students navigating a new academic environment.
MConnect
Creating pathways for connection.
Participating as an MConnect pioneer allowed me to contribute to a growing network of transfer students and help strengthen their connection to the University of Michigan community.
Service is one of the ways I turn care for my community into action.
